TyreSafe is proud to announce its new partnership with AUTOMOTIV8, an innovative consultancy led by industry veteran Mike Garwood, who brings over 50 years of experience in the automotive sector. This collaboration represents a shared commitment to enhancing road safety and educating road users on the critical importance of tyre care and vehicle maintenance.
Mike Garwood’s extensive career began in 1973 as a fitter in the fast-fit sector, progressing to a pivotal role at National Tyres and Autocare, where he project managed the opening of multiple new branches across the UK. He has been a tireless advocate for road safety, with a longstanding history of involvement in the Tyre Industry Council, the predecessor to TyreSafe. During his tenure, he was involved in countless roadside tyre checks, educating road users on proper maintenance and the dangers of neglect.
Today, Mike continues his mission to improve road safety by developing an innovative app designed to serve as a single touchpoint for road users to track their vehicle’s history, maintenance records, and exact tyre specifications. This tool aims to simplify the management of vehicle safety, empowering motorists to stay informed and proactive, and is due to be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
